In the game of volleyball, passing is a prominent element to the game, and junior Ashley Andrews has provided plenty of the passing skills for the volleyball team.
Andrews has done a tremendous job in the back court, alternating playing the libero position this year with sophomore Alyssa Pento. As the libero, she has given opportunities for the Lancers to score points.
Some of Andrews’ top games have been against Bedford where she registered 15 assists and 12 service points, and Bishop Guertin where she had 17 assists.
“Ashley has really stepped it up this year,” senior Emily Vrettos said. “She just keeps improving throughout the season.”
Andrews has not only been a prominent force on the court, but also has been a leader for the team.
“Ashley is always there for the team,” Vrettos said. “Whether it is on the court or off the court, she has always been working hard for her teammates.”
