The staff of LSO is in grave danger.
Late last night, a giant man eating barn owl came plugging through the windows of room 411 and captured all the editors of the The Lancer Spirit in its talons the size of of an cramped minivans, and carried them to its nest on top of Mt. Washington. Since then, the barn owl has been force feeding the editors raw eggs in an attempt to fatten us up for its next meal.
However, this a small glimmer of hope for us to escape our impending doom. This morning we just so happened to stumble upon a book titled Giant Man Eating Birds of N.H. and Other Gentle Creatures lodged in a snow bank. After consulting the book, we were able to determine that the man eating barn owl we had been captured by happened to be of the eatus literatureus species: a man eating bird that has also been known to eat fine pieces of creative writing.
Armed with this knowledge, we began to devise our plan. Should the giant man eating barn owl eat enough pieces of creative writing, it will be to full to eat any of us.
And that’s where you come in: the brave and creative authors, poets, and storytellers of LHS.
We’ve created a new space here on LSO known as the Writer’s Block, a creative writing section dedicated strictly to all forms of creative writing and poetry. This section is welcoming and open to all students.
If you are interested in submitting a of your piece of writing to the Writer’s Block please send it to [email protected] or [email protected]
