All the clubs in the school are having their first meetings around this time of year and it’s up to you to frantically pick which ones are worth fitting into your busy schedule.
Well, for anyone even remotely interested in being a part of student leadership opportunities, student council presents as a great option.
The meetings take place every Monday in room 221 right after school and the first one is on this coming Monday, September 11. This first meeting will be in the cafeteria instead of room 221. For more information, contact adviser Mrs. Sapsin or President Carolyn Hill.
Among the reasons to join this organization are that you can aid in making decisions that affect the whole school, make lots of new friends, and attend interesting and exciting events.
“Student Council helped me find my place and gave me opportunities that I never thought would cross my path and I am so thankful for what it has to offer me,” Student Council District Representative Michael Kennedy said.
Come to the first meeting and vote on Spirit Week themes and input your ideas for homecoming. Have a voice in what goes on in the school.
