Cold weather—and a record of 12-2-2—means one thing to the boys soccer team: Playoffs are here.
Boys soccer started their playoff run with a bye and are ranked 2nd in the state.
And when they play Concord on Saturday at 2:00 pm, they have the home-field advantage.
“When everyone comes to play, we can walk over any team,” senior captain Josh Rutina said. “When we don’t come to play, anything can happen.”
Their biggest win this season was a nail-biter against Central that ended in a 1-0 win due to a free kick with six minutes left in the game.
Rutina knows his team has a lot of potential. He said if they continue to “work hard, then we’ll have the opportunity to win the championship.”
“We all have to be ready to come to play,” Rutina said.
