Childhood cancer awareness week 10/13 – 10/16

The week of October 13 LHS will be participating in childhood cancer awareness week. Donations of new hats for kids who are battling cancer should be delivered to Ms. Sullivan’s office in House 4. Friday October 16 will be crazy hat spirit day.

A few members of SNHS and their Advisors, Lisa Fraser and Anthony Cariello, just finished listening to Dr.Smith, leader of the SWUG project. Smith gave a lecture about what the information the students help gather with the magnetometers they build is used for and how it helps predict and monitor space weather.
Science National Honor Society has a forecast for discovery
Director of School Counseling, Ms. O'Dea, wants students to "believe in themselves and reach goals that they work hard to achieve,” O’Dea said.
Director of School Counseling Ms. O'Dea wants to try and offer another "layer of support for students.”
House four counselor, Mr. Papargiris, tries to "motivate students to recognize, it’s not just about having that one person that you’re assigned to talk to,” Papargiris said. “But someone you feel comfortable talking to.”
House 4 counselor Mr. Papargiris tries to "[provide] bumpers to allow the students to navigate [themselves] comfortably.”
