I think we are all done with staying inside and not being able to hang out with friends. Hopefully this will all end soon and we can begin to enjoy our summer and spend quality time with our friends. I put some awesome ideas together for you to try this summer. Some of them are simple and some you may not get to, but that’s okay. I am also going to challenge you and your friends to put away your phones. We have spent enough time with them during quarantine, so I encourage you to please make an effort, put them away, and enjoy making lasting memories with your friends.
Summer bucket list Ideas with friends:
- Drive-in movie: Fill the back of your vehicle with a bunch of pillows, blankets and snacks.
- Four wheeler rides
- Going to the beach: which is a must every summer (obviously)
- 6 flags with friends: hopefully no one gets sick
- Picnic
- Game night: Invite your friends to bring a snack and a game and don’t be afraid to be competitive.
- Pool party
- Tubing
- Trampoline sleepover
- Camping
- Go on a hike: bring a blanket and pack a lunch so when you reach the top you can enjoy a picnic with an amazing view.
- Watch fireworks
- Go to a concert
- Get ice cream
- Skateboarding
- Bowling
- Bike rides
- Dock wars: Basically king of the dock, if you go to a lake or someplace where you and your friends can push each other off the dock into the lake.
- Cookout
- Sand castle contest
- Road trip!
- Watch sunset and/or sunrise
- Pick berries
- Rock, Paper, Scissors, splash: If you and your friends have access to a pool, you guys can play rock paper scissors and whenever a person loses they have to take a step closer. Eventually someone will get too close and will have to jump in. Unless an unfortunate event happens where someone “accidentally” pushes them in.
- Water balloon fight: it’s a war people, good luck.
- Outdoor games: capture the flag, mafia or manhunt.
- Car wash: grab your buckets and sponges and get together with friends and wash each other’s cars.
- Slip and slide: sometimes it needs a little help though so don’t be afraid to add some soap.
- Go see a play: there are outdoor plays that go on every summer in Portsmouth in Prescott Park.
- Have fun!

Those are some awesome ideas, Myah! Hopefully you guys will do those same things with your very close friends! Oh and don’t forget to order your cap and gown for the graduation at the end of this year ok? :))
