With the cold weather quickly approaching, LHS Admin have come up with a plan for snow days now that remote learning has been established.
Although teachers have the ability to reach out to students if a cancellation was made, LHS has decided to continue to make a snow day a full cancellation of classes. This would mean whether a student was meant to be remote or in school, no student would have work to complete on a day where school was cancelled.
Choosing to cancel school completely was based on the fact that the school cannot predict how many students would be able to connect online due to power outages.
Delays will also remain the same this year for students who are in-person on the day a delay is chosen. School will begin at 9:30 and will consist of 32 minute class periods.
Although a lot of changes had been made to the school because of a hybrid schedule, delays and closings during the winter months will not.
