The annual Prism concert is Saturday, October 30.
The Londonderry school district will have an early release on Monday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 8 due to the weather.
This means the high school and middle school will be dismissed at 12:05 pm, while the elementary schools will be dismissed at 1 pm.
The district will be taking measures to ensure the buildings stay as cool as possible in the hot weather. In an email sent out to teachers by Mrs. Soucy, they will be doing the following:
- Implement “cooling stations” for a mask break outside the building or in rooms with air conditioning
- Rearrangement of spaces in classrooms so students 6 feet away can remove their masks
- Adjustments in the HVAC system
- Addition of fans in classrooms that follow the CDC guidelines
- Providing students and staff with water during breaks
It is also encouraged to wearing lighter masks, bringing water, and take mask breaks as often as needed.
The districts ensures the measures are up to date with the town and CDC guidelines, and if any parents have concerns they are able to opt their children out of in person school during this time.
