The transition from high school to college brings difficulties for all students. Some need extra support to succeed and are often unaware of where to find these services.
Katie Robinson, LHS graduate from the class of 2009, is currently an Educational Counselor at Keene State College. Robinson works to help students develop skills in time management, financial literacy, and studying strategies as well as providing guidance in student involvement and academics.
Parents are encouraged to attend a workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7:00 in LHS room 221 (and students during lunches at the Brown Bag Workshop on Wednesday, Nov, 18) to hear Robinson’s advice on how to avoid common pitfalls experienced during the first year of college. The workshop will include strategies for high school students to begin developing these skills for their future.
