Purple Up Month shines spotlight on military children

Blue and Purple Star Lancers call out to Lancer Nation to show support during Purple Up Month.

The Blue and Purple Star Lancers finish tying up the remainders of their purple ties during their first meeting during Purple Up Month

The Blue Star Lancers are calling on all of Lancer Nation to join them in celebrating Purple-Up. April is the month of the military child, and the month that is aimed to raise awareness for military children and challenges they face.

The Blue and Purple Star Lancers encourage everyone to wear purple tomorrow, April. 12 to show how much lancer nation appreciates the sacrifices they make as there families proudly protect our countries.

This is Kelsey's first year on the editorial board and her second year on the Lancer Spirit staff. While being the News Editor for the 2024-2025 school year, you are more than likely to catch her at many school events as she is involved with many activities, including co-president of WTA and holding the position of Class Historian for the class of '26. In addition to writing, she has a love for music and enjoys her time spent in the music department at LHS.
