As Mack Plaque weekend is underway, girls soccer is getting ready for one of the most anticipated games they will have this season.
Junior Lyndi Mckinnon knows she needs to get ready physically to be fully ready for the game.
“I am going to prepare for the Mack Plaque game by making sure I eat healthy throughout the day and stay hydrated,” said Mckinnon.
Along with preparing physically, senior Abby Jones also is getting ready mentally for this demanding game.
“To get ready I will need to get in the right mindset to play smart and strong,” Jones said.
With having the advantage of playing at home this year, the girls are looking forward to all of the fans that will be attending.
“I am excited for the student section to be cheering us on at our own field,” Jones said, “since this will be my last Mack Plaque.”
Even though most of the enthusiasm will be at the game, the girls are looking forward to being with each other before.
“I am so excited to get hype with my teammates in the locker room,” Jones said, “we always listen to music and jump around. We already decorated with balloons and positive quotes.”
Since this is a rivalry game, the girls know that they need to bring everything. Jones predicts that there will be “high energy going into this game.”
“I’m so excited and I hope we come back with a win,” said Mckinnon.
If you want to cheer on the girls make sure to be there at home at 6:30.
