LHS tackles hunger at the Mack Plaque game

Students and their families help volunteer with NH tackles hunger during Mack Plaque weekend.

NH Tackles Hunger is a statewide event that takes place at football games all through the month of September and has been going on for 11 years.

Faculty liaison, Amy Downing helped run the Londonderry High School branch of the NH Tackles Hungry alongside pantry volunteers, 12 freshmen, and three members of Friends of Music. 

With raising over 6,000 dollars in cash, they were able to split it between St. Jude’s Parish and St.Thomas Aquinas

“It is great to be able to take part in a statewide effort that other schools are also participating in, demonstrating a statewide spirit of giving that extends beyond the Londonderry and Derry communities,” Downing said.

This is Kelsey's first year on the editorial board and her second year on the Lancer Spirit staff. While being the News Editor for the 2024-2025 school year, you are more than likely to catch her at many school events as she is involved with many activities, including co-president of WTA and holding the position of Class Historian for the class of '26.
