The Drama Club hosts another successful fundraiser, raising money for their upcoming shows to help financially support sets, costumes, and elements that they are adding to the addition of the drama club this year. This year, the drama club welcomed in numerous new members, creating new groups of people joining the scarers in the Haunted Woods, and the friends in the Goblin Garden.
New member of the Drama Club, Junior Liv Brooks (Joker) had a great time getting out of her comfort zone, and joining a new club. She has a great time seeing her peers in the woods, and creating new relationships with others.
“I liked getting to be a part of something new that I have never tried before,” Brooks said.
Senior Alex Barnes always finds himself laughing after his acts once he scares people especially when he knows the people walking through the woods.
“Scaring people because it’s funny,” Barnes said. “Scaring my parents was really funny.”
Sophomore Lily Tessier Loves being part of Haunted Woods because it gives her an advantage to step out of her comfort zone and create more friends throughout the first event of the year. Tessier loves being able to engage with the people she’s acting with while “spooking” members of the community.
“It is different than the other drama productions in a way that you get to interact with your audience more and the people around you, and it’s a fun group effort,” Tessier said. “You make it fun for the people around you and your community.”
