Students spent time working inside and outside of their foreign language classes reviewing and learning about certain aspects of countries they were assigned to inform the student body about. The presentations were showcased before Winter Break on Pep Rally Day, Dec. 20 during all study periods.
The objective of the international fair was for students to branch out and engage with other countries’ different customs and traditions, along with different values and cultures, getting graded for a Summative Assignment.
Honors Spanish 4 students, junior Simone Miller, junior Ellis Currier, junior Faith Nolan, and junior Ella Dibuno share their experiences with being able to learn about places they aren’t familiar with but they are also able to benefit students and staff.
Miller enjoyed her time being able to learn about a foreign place that she wasn’t familiar with.
“I got to learn all about El Salvador’s locations, traditions, language and festivals too,” Miller said. “It was pretty cool.”
Junior Ella Dibuno shares her viewpoint about having the experience to see how different languages can be carried across different landmarks.
“I think it’s important to see all of the cultures of a bunch of different countries, that all speak the same language,” Dibuno said.
