From the administration meeting with the executive council, contacting outside schools and sources, and many proactive conversations with student representatives, the administration has come to a temporary conclusion on what it plans to do moving forward.
The current actions teachers are required to take are making sure that they have their printed-out PDF of where they want their wall caddies to be placed which was attached to the staff email.Changes being made within Londonderry High School will align with the development of a district-wide policy with more updates to come in the future relating to other district schools.

On Tuesday March 18 at 2:05 p.m. House 2 Assistant Principal Ryan O’Connor, informed teachers via email about how official changes with phones are being enforced in classrooms.
If any staff have questions about the new actions taking place within classrooms, staff are encouraged to reach out to Mr.Ryan O’Connor in person.
Principal Rick Barnes has confirmed that there is a “big update” for students and families coming out in his newsletter tonight. More information on the matter is to come as we receive more information from the Londonderry High School Administrative Team.
Update: On March 19 Principal Rick Barnes sent out his weekly update to students and families seeking to “inform” the student body and family members about the new procedures that will be taking place in Londonderry High School. Barnes expressed that the purpose of this new procedure was to ensure a “distraction-free learning environment”. Barnes expressed that any improved use of cell phones will be subject to the following school-wide procedures.
Barnes expressed in his “New Cell Phone Procedures” email to families and students that they are using this update as a way to have the “best possible learning environment”. Principal Barnes recognizes that the change can be difficult, but he thanks students in advance for their patience. If any students have questions or want to seek further clarification, please reach out to your House Office AP. The implementation date will be officially implemented started Monday, March 24.
