Jake Coleman:
Coleman is a key role for the boys basketball team this year. He is one of five returning players from the boys championship team just a season ago. Coleman was one of the leading scorers for the team last year as a sophomore and is expected to do big things this year as only a junior.
“We are a young but talented team,” Coleman said. “We are looking to make it back to UNH this year and defend our state championship.”
Yorgelis Ortiz:
Ortiz had a successful meet at UNH this past weekend. Only individuals who qualify for open events in the state are allowed to compete and she came second in the 55 meter dash and first in the 4X160 relay with a time of 1:27:00.
“We have a very successful season so far,” Ortiz said. “I love going out every race and trying to beat my personal record and know that I am running against some of the top runners in the state.”
