Girls’ varsity basketball made the semi-finals for the fourth year in a row. The girls have made the championship game three out of the last four years, winning the title in 2014 and 2015. In 2013 the girls lost in the championship. This year they lost in the final four to Bedford.
Senior Jackie Luckhardt was on the team the three years that the girls have been in the championship, being a vital role for the team. This propelled her to be a starter and a leader in winning the championship her junior year.
“It feels rewarding that all of our hard work paid off,” Luckhardt said. “Especially winning it my sophomore year just made me want to keep working hoping that we’d be able to win it the next year.”
